Our Confident Beginner classes are for those who have already participated in quilting program(s) in the past and/or have previously sewing or quilting experience but are looking to expand their knowledge and techniques.
Join us Wonder Curve specific workshop and get the opportunity to work on any specific curve based projects you have been wanting to with an informed instructor there to assist with any challenges you may face.
Cost: $35/day & $60/2days+supplies
Bunny Trail Paper Piecing

Our Confident Beginner classes are for those who have already participated in quilting program(s) in the past and/or have previously sewing or quilting experience but are looking to expand their knowledge and techniques.
In this one day workshop participant will be given a good foundational instruction on the art of paper piecing through the creation of an adorable bunny themed table runner.
Cost: $50+supplies & pattern

Saturday Mar. 21 [10:00am-4:00pm]
Join the Algonquin Sewing Center for this years National Quilting Day on Saturday March 21st and create a beautiful Barn Quilting Painting of your very own.
In this workshop participants will have the opportunity to create a personalized barn quilt painting. Once completed this project can be hung on your own barn or it can be kept indoors as part of a new piece of home decor.
Participants will be required to purchase a piece of square 2x2 foot plywood in advance and prim their surface using white outdoor latex paint.
Cost: $65+supplies (paint, brushes and painters tape will be provided)
Rope Bowls Workshop

Our Rope Bowls class is an intermediate class. Intermediate level classes are best suited for those who have already participated in quilting programs in the past and have previous knowledge and confidence with a variety of quilting/sewing skills and techniques.
Braided rope bowls are decorative and functional coiled rope vessels, often made by wrapping rope around a coil or by sewing a fabric-wrapped rope into a spiral using a zigzag stitch creating basket-like item used for holding small objects, serving bread, or as home decor.
In this one day workshop participants have the opportunity to create a unique braided rope bowl of their own design through the use of sewing machine.

Our Confident Beginner classes are for those who have already participated in quilting program(s) in the past and/or have previously sewing or quilting experience but are looking to expand their knowledge and techniques.
Join this wonderful spring workshop and create an “H” styled tote bag just in time for the summer months. In this workshop participants will learn how to make the hi tech tuck pattern and use it to decorate a fashionable and versatile tote.

Mommy & Me

Saturday May 9 [11:00am-2:00pm]
Join us for a super special Mother’s Day workshop and tea party. This program is perfect for Moms or Grandmothers looking to do something fun with their children and youths for mother’s day.
In this workshop participants will have the opportunity to create an adorable tea cup pin cushion and fabric flowers while enjoying a light snack and refreshment.
Cost: $65/pair of participants
*If you do not have a sewing machine you are capable of bringing with you to classes or workshops, the Algonquin Sewing Center has sewing machine available for rent at the cost of $10 per page. Please let the staff know when you register for programming if you require a sewing machine rental.
