Necessary Clutch

Wednesday Sept. 16 & 23 [1:30-4:30pm]
This is a two part program running throughout consecutive Wednesday during September. This workshop will focus on the construction of the “Necessary” styled everyday clutch. This is a wonderfully functional and stylish wallet which is great for a casual day about town or can be dressed up for an evening out.
Our Intermediate level classes are for those who have already participated in quilting program(s) in the past and have previous knowledge and confidence with a variety of quilting/sewing skills and techniques.

Basic Rope Bowls

Saturday Sept. 19 [10:00am-1:00pm]
Braided rope bowls are decorative and functional coiled rope vessels, often made by wrapping rope around a coil or by sewing a fabric-wrapped rope into a spiral using a zigzag stitch creating basket-like item used for holding small objects, serving bread, or as home decor.
In this half day workshop participants have the opportunity to create a simple rope bowl of their own design through the use of sewing machine.
This is a Confident Beginner workshop for those who have already participated in sewing program(s) in the past and/or have previously sewing or quilting experience but are looking to expand their knowledge and techniques.
Cost: $35+materials & supplies
*A sewing machine and zigzag foot are required for this workshop.

Saturday Sept. 19 [1:30-4:30pm]
Braided rope bowls are decorative and functional coiled rope vessels, often made by wrapping rope around a coil or by sewing a fabric-wrapped rope into a spiral using a zigzag stitch creating basket-like item used for holding small objects, serving bread, or as home decor.
In this half day workshop participants have the opportunity to create a unique braided rope bowl of their own design through the use of sewing machine. These rope bowls are interwoven with colourful fabric and braiding as both embellishment and aesthetic.
Our Confident Beginner classes are for those who have already participated in quilting program(s) in the past and/or have previously sewing or quilting experience but are looking to expand their knowledge and techniques.
Cost: $35+materials & supplies

Knitted Dishcloth

Tuesday Sept. 29 [1:30-4:30pm]
Join Cynthia on a monthly basis with her feature Knitting projects. For the month of September participants will be focusing on knitting these useful table clothes. Not only are these dishcloth soft and durable but they can be made to suit any kitchen aesthetic.
This is a Confident Beginner program for those who have already participated in some knitting program(s) in the past and/or have previously knitting experience but are looking to expand their knowledge and techniques by trying out some fun new projects.
Cost: $40

Rope Bowl & bag Techniques

Braided rope bowls and bags are decorative and functional coiled rope creations, often made by wrapping rope around a coil or by sewing a fabric-wrapped rope into a spiral using a zigzag stitch creating basket-like item used for anything from plates to purses or decorative decor items.
In this half day workshop participants learn the basic rope bowl techniques and have the opportunity to create a rope bowl or bag of their choosing.
This is a Confident Beginner workshop for those who have already participated in quilting program(s) in the past and/or have previously sewing experience but are looking to expand their knowledge and techniques by trying something new.

Snowflake Table Runner

In this workshop participants will have the opportunity to learn a modern way to create these beautiful snowflakes. Once the snowflakes are assembled they can be used to create a table runner or if your feeling ambitious make more on your own time and build a full quilt top with these whimsical snowflakes.
This is a Confident Beginner workshop, designed for those who have already participated in quilting program(s) in the past and/or have previously sewing or quilting experience but are looking to expand their knowledge and techniques.

Learn your Sewing Machine
A basic Breakdown for beginners

Wednesday Oct. 7 & 14 [1:30-4:30pm]
So you have a sewing machine but have no idea how to use it. Then this is the course for you. Our knowledgeable instructor will walk you through all the basics that you will need to become an accomplished sewer.
Our Beginner Level classes are for those who are completely new to sewing & quilting, beginner-beginner if you will. Sewing machine knowledge and/or experience is not a requirement to sign up for these classes as the instructor will be covering all the basics with you in the program. Although personal sewing machine are recommended upon registration, they are not mandatory as we have rental machine available upon request.

Sock Monkey

A sock monkey is a traditional stuffed toy made from a pair of wool socks, most famously featuring a red heel, long limbs, and button eyes. Join Helen for a Saturday and create one or two of these adorable sock monkeys for yourself. These sock monkeys make perfect gifts for the little people in your life as they are perfect to cuddle up too.

Join Sharon for this afternoon workshop in creating these lovely crocheted ornaments. These holiday ornaments make for beautiful gifts and are perfect for brightening up your tree over the holidays.
Our Intermediate level classes are for those who have already participated in quilting programs in the past and have previously knowledge and confidence with a variety of quilting/sewing skills and techniques.
These are classes that focus on more complicated projects and techniques that require fundamental knowledge to participate in.

Holiday Mug Rugs
