Welcome To Our Classroom
Whether you are a beginner or a veteran sewer, classes are available for every skill level. Beginner, garment and specialty sewing classes are all available from Algonquin Sewing Center!
We also offer Knitting & Crochet classes. As well as wool applique classes.
We love meeting new people in our classroom and seeing familiar faces. If you have a finished project, don’t be shy as we love Show & Tell!

Sit & Stitch with Joanne
This is a ‘drop-in’ for anyone interested in hand stitching, wool applique and a little socializing. This event runs from 1;00-4;00 on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Bring your own project or pick up a wool pattern or kit at the store. Joanne would be happy to assist or teach you how to do wool applique. Cost:$5.00 + Tax each day. Pay when you arrive.
Class Registration Policies:
All classes must be paid for upon registration. We will call all registered students 2 weeks before the class to remind them of the upcoming class. If you are unable to attend the class and need to cancel, refunds or store credit will be issued up to 2 weeks before the date of the class.
Class Requirements:
Unless otherwise stated, all classes require a sewing machine in good working order, a basic sewing kit including a rotary cutter and pattern/supplies for the project. We provide cutting boards, rulers, and irons but you are welcome to bring your own. We recommended that you bring a lunch (or snacks) with you.
