Knitting and Crocheting Club

Choose your own project and receive assistance as needed. We have many new patterns and yarns to choose from or perhaps you already have something started and need time to get it done. Enjoy 2 hours a week with others who will surely inspire you!

Sewing Machine/Serger Preventative Maintenance Class
with Cyndi
Spend the day with Cyndi and learn how to maintain your sewing machine and serger. Knowing how to clean and maintain your machines can save you costly repair bills and reduce the frequency of tune ups. Your machine must be in working order and you will need your owner's manual (our Cyndi is great with the machine and even she uses her owner manual!!)

Rapid Fire Hunter Star Quilt
with Marilyn
In this class you will learn to make the Hunter's Star, the quick and easy way. You will be using Deb Tucker's ruler and pattern. We will cover the basic star in this workshop and after you have mastered this, you will be able to go on to 3 and 4 colour stars and other patterns.

Beginner's Machine Quilting

From stitch in the ditch to free motion pebbles, and quite a lot in between. All you need is a sewing machine, free motion foot and walking foot plus some practice. So make up some quilting sandwiches and join us for a fun workshop.

Quilt as you Go

During this workshop, you start a "quilt as you go" quilt. You can pick any of the batting buddy patterns. This is a fun method to quilt and piece a quilt all at once. Purchase of ruler and pattern is required.

Make this quilt using a variety of quilting flannels or homespuns. We have a huge selection of flannels to choose from as well as pre-cut strips ready to go. The amount of fabric you need depends on the size of the quilt you wish to make. Pattern purchase is required.

Day and Night Quilt Workshop
with Tracy
The pattern is made from strips and the illusion created by using the acrylic template included in the back of the book. Eleanor Burns offers variations on making a quilt with two or three contrasting colours. By using three or four fabric strips, the blocks take on a whole new look. Purchase of book is required.

Yellow Brick Road Workshop

Grab a handful of fat quarters and you are on your way to a fast and fun quilt. This quilt is rotary cut and strip pieced. A great project for beginners. Purchase of pattern is required.

Requirements for all sewing classes:
- Sewing Machine in good working order and new needle
- Working knowledge of your sewing machine (not necessary for beginner's sewing classes, but helpful)
- Rotary cutter with sharp blade
- Self healing cutting mat
- Ruler - we recommend 18x6” or 24x6”
- Basic Sewing kit- should include scissors, pins, seam ripper, extra machine needles, bobbins, hand sewing needles, and tape measure
- Patterns and Fabric as specified for each class (some have pre-packed kits available)
- Thread to match project
- Decorative thread and embellishments as required.
All of these items are available at the store and notions are discounted 20% for registered students, when purchased for a class. |
