We Have It All For You!

Good Day Everyone!Cyndi Teather, new owner, and Linda Spagnolo

I'm so glad to finally have a chance to get down to writing my first newsletter.  I guess I'd better introduce myself to those of you whom I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet.  My name is Cyndi Teather, and I am the new owner of the Algonquin Sewing Center.  I have been living in the area since 1995 when I was posted here with the Army.   Having completed my service in the spring of 2007, I was really interested in doing something different and hopefully finding more time for my favorite hobby of sewing. I have been extremely fortunate to have stumbled upon the perfect new career with the Algonquin Sewing Center.
So far I have been having a great time learning the ropes.  With Linda sharing the benefit of her knowledge and experience, and the support of Brigitte and Helen, I think I might just know what I'm doing before Christmas.  I've also very much enjoyed meeting all our customers, and I can't wait to see lots more new faces as the winter fades away and everyone can get out and about again.

What's New?

Making Changes!

The staff and I have been very busy so far this year getting new stock in and on the shelves. We've been working at stocking up on the usual items, while adding some exciting new bits and pieces.  We've brought in some new fabrics, with plenty more on the way.
Our yarn selection is back up to level for the moment, but it moves fast, so we're always ordering more in. In response to many requests, we now carry bamboo knitting needles.
In the cross stitch department, we have a new display rack that holds all the hundreds of colors of DMC floss we carry.  Dimension patterns are still available to be ordered on request.
If you've had the opportunity to stop into the store recently, you would know we have been quite busy moving furniture around and making space for our sewing machines.  We have restocked the entire line of Husqvarna sewing machines and Sergers and would love to give you a full demonstration of their amazing features.   If you haven't seen our flyer yet, you can see it online at our website.  The deals are incredible!  If ever there was a time to buy that machine you've been dreaming of, this is it.
