Quilting Block-of-the-Month Clubs

 Snow Ladies Embroidery
Club
The Snow Ladies Embroidery Club will be running for 12
months starting in January 2010. This club will be run with our
resident "Snow Lady" Tracy Headley.
These lovely snow ladies can be made into a large quilt or several
small wall hangings to share with your family and friends.
Come into the Algonquin Sewing Center to see a completed sample of
this quilt. We would love to see you.
 Cobblestone
Lane
The Cobblestone Lane quilt of the month club, also
with Tracy Headley, will run for 7 months. This block-of-the-month
club utilizes the Aster Manor Fabrics by Three Sisters. This fabric
is rich and elegant and is a must see!
Once again, come into the Algonquin Sewing Center, where we have the
full collection of these fabrics in stock for you.
 Angels Among
Us
This block of the month project is with Karen Moore and will be
running for 6 months. A finished version of the quilt is hanging in
the store, so drop by and see if "Angels Among Us" is the
quilt for you.

Times and Seasons
Christine Fleming will take you through the Times and Seasons
block-of-the-month club. She will teach you the techniques you need
to create a beautiful treasure you will cherish for years to come.
The cost of this club will be $10.00 per month and members will be
responsible for providing their own fabrics and supplies for their
quilt. However, all members of this block-of-the-month club will
still enjoy our standard 20% discount on class related fabric
purchases.

Take off Eh! Dawna
Steele will be donning her "Kenora Dinner Jacket" and
taking the lead in this 12 block quilting endeavor by Wanda's
Designs. Each block is a celebration of a Canadian Province or
territory. Ontario, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Quebec, Alberta,
Newfoundland, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Prince Edward Island,
New Brunswick, British Columbia, Yukon and Northwest Territories are
all represented with a beautiful background of quilted maple leaf
designs. Grab a plaid shirt, a 2-4 and a back-bacon sandwich before
heading down to the Algonquin Sewing Center to sign up for this
block-of-the-month club. (Remember to do quilting responsibly on this
project - Take a taxi or use a designated driver!)

Thimbleberries
Club
The
2010 Thimbleberries Quilt Club is ready to start!
|
|
|
Anyone involved in the Thimbleberries club understands
that these quilts are in a class of their own. The new Thimbleberries
block of the month club will be starting in January 2010. This year's
quilt has three colorways; Dawn, Dusk and midnight. Running
concurrent to the main thimbleberries project will be monthly bonus
projects which employ the same techniques as the monthly Village
Green blocks. It is not too late to sign up!

Stock
|

The
S-21 and S-25 sergers are now in stock at Algonquin Sewing
Center. These are the new standard in sergers from Husqvarna Viking.
The S-25 is a
2,3,4,5, thread serger, 25 stitches, large graphic touch display,
coverstitches (3mm, 6mm, triple), chainstitch, with large sewing
space, extension table and automatic differential feed. It features
"exclusive Sewing Advisor ®", dual LED lights, memories,
last stitch and 5 sewing speeds.
The S-21 is a
2,3,4 thread serger, 21 stitches, pre-programed stitch settings,
coverstitches (3mm, 6mm, Triple). Chainstitch, larger sewing space,
